International House Graphic Identity
This page contains numerous files comprising the graphic identity of International House at the University of Chicago. The following are guidelines on using these files:
If you are using a professional program (Adobe, Quark, etc.) for composing your document, you should use IH-master.eps [zip] This is a high quality vector graphic that can be edited, scaled, and saved in many different formats.
Otherwise, select the proper logo from below: logo (logo only), type (type only), or logotype (logo & type) and then a size: large or small. There are two types of each: PNG and GIF. PNG is recommended as it will look good against any light background and should be your first option, but it is not supported everywhere. GIF is your backup and may not preserve it's transparency as well. (For more on this discussion, see Wikipedia.)
Also included are "inverse" files, for use with dark or black backgrounds. The PNG files use transparency, so these will look good against any dark background, while the inverse GIF files will only be appropriate with a black background.
Please contact Tony Graves with any questions about these files.
