Grad Mixers & Cultural Celebrations

The Graduate Commons Program regularly hosts student mixers, often connected to special cultural events. Graduate students have come together to celebrate Lunar New Year, Nowruz, Mardi Gras, and Diwali.

Show Me Chicago Trips

International House Global Program Fellows Interns organize regular trips to must-see places around Hyde Park and the rest of the city of Chicago. Past trips have included a White Sox baseball game; a Chicago Fire soccer game; Robie House tours; various museums; rooftop brunches; holiday attractions, such as Lincoln Park zoo lights and Chriskindlmarket; as well the many wonderfully diverse Chicago neighborhoods such as Chinatown, Greektown, and Pilsen. These are a great way to explore the many exciting activities that this city has to offer in a group.

Watch Parties

International House often hosts watch parties for various sporting and music events. Past events include the Superbowl, Oscars, Eurovision Song Contest, and FIFA Champions League matches.

All events are exclusively for graduate students at least 21 years of age.
