I-House Programs & External Relations
International House is more than just a residence for individuals from around the world. A wide array of programs and activities are offered at International House throughout the year. Music and cultural performances, outreach programs with Chicago-area international organizations including foreign
consulates, orientation programs and visits around Chicago, language exchanges and discussions, forums and debates led by distinguished guest speakers are among the hundreds of activities held throughout the year. Many programs are co-sponsored with University departments as well as numerous student organizations on campus. Programs and activities have been developed to enrich the student experience. International House also serves the increasingly international interests of the Chicago community. Programs are designed to bring different segments of the Chicago-area community into the academic universe of students.
