International House is proud to collaborate with Gingarte Capoeira Chicago in hosting the Gingarte Afro-Brazilian Festival as part of the Batizado 2022. Gingarte Capoeira will be celebrating 31 years of Capoeira in Chicago, and they've waited a long two years to have their annual troca de cordões. The performance on Saturday night will be fully dedicated to African Diasporic dance.
This program is free and open to the public. Suggested donation: $10 per person.
