Lynda Jiwen Song is an associate professor and vice department head of the Department of Organization and Human Resources at the School of Business, Renmin University of China. She received her Ph.D. in organizational management from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Professor Song’s research interests include leadership, employment relationship, creativity, emotional intelligence, diversity and cross-cultural studies. Her research has appeared in the Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management and Organization Review, Journal of Human Relations, Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, and Frontiers of Business Research in China.
Professor Song is currently the China-at-large representative of the International Association of Chinese Management Research (IACMR), an academic organization that serves scholars, students, managers, and consultants who are interested in advancing their knowledge about organizational management in the Chinese context. She serves on the editorial review board of Asia Pacific Journal of Management and Management and Organization Review, and on the editorial advisory board of Evidence-based HRM. Professor Song has successfully collaborated with scholars in the US, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and mainland China.behaviors and top management team support, and its effect on middle managers’ performance. Her research on leadership also extends to leaders at dyadic, team and firm levels.
