Hispanic Heritage Month Events

International Cooking Club

Sunday, October 4, 5-7PM

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we're kicking off the Autumn Quarter with a traditional Argentinian barbecue and Spanish tortillas! Registration to receive the free groceries from I-House is sold out, but additional unregistered students may still join in - required ingredients are listed to the right! Participants may choose to cook along or simply enjoy the demonstration and recreate the meal in their own time. Please join us to cook together, even when we have to be apart!

The International House Graduate Commons Program is pleased to collaborate with the UChicago International Law Society and UChicago Latinx Law Students Association for a movie screening of Roma, winner of the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film in 2019. Roma delivers a vivid, emotional portrait of a domestic worker's journey set against domestic and political turmoil in 1970s Mexico.
