Rockefeller Lounge
On June 1, 2013, International House dedicated its main lounge as the Rockefeller Lounge, in recognition of the Rockefeller family’s long support of I-House, including David Rockefeller’s, PhD’40, support of renovations. The ceremony also marked the conclusion of the year-long 80th Anniversary Celebration of International House.
The Rockefeller Lounge, rededicated in 2013, is an elegant lounge graced with cathedral ceilings, chandeliers, antique furniture, and a grand piano. Located on the first floor, this room overlooks the Midway Plaisance and is adjacent to the Courtyard. This spacious room is ideal for receptions, lectures, symposiums, and recitals or small concerts. The Rockefeller Lounge can accommodate up to one hundred twenty-five people for a lecture or symposium and as many as one hundred seventy-five for receptions.
