Alumni Weekend: The Chicago Ensemble Virtual Concert with Highlights from the 2021 Season

Join the International House community for a virtual Sunday morning chamber music concert led by virtuoso pianist Gerald Rizzer, AB’62, and members of The Chicago Ensemble. In residence at International House, The Chicago Ensemble is known for its eclectic programs that combine masterworks with surprising selections by composers past and present. The concert will include highlights from the 2021 season: Classical Period (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven), German Romantic (Spohr, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Wolf and Brahms), French Romantic (Franck, Chausson, Duparc, Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc, and Milhaud), 20th Century Europe (Hindemith, Prokoviev, Berg, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, and Bartok).

The program will also include a look ahead to the season finale Program V – Masterworks of 20th Century America planned for Sunday, June 13.

Alternatively, this event will also be streamed on the I-House YouTube channel. All programs are free and open to the public. Additional Alumni Weekend packages with speciality items are also available to purchase.
