Join us this Spring as our Book Club takes on The Signal and the Noise: Why So Many Predictions Fail—but Some Don’t by Nate Silver. In a world overflowing with data, Silver explores why some forecasts succeed while others fall flat, uncovering what it really takes to make sense of uncertainty. We’ll start our session by distributing the book and unpacking some of Silver’s most compelling insights—from politics to poker to pandemics—before opening the floor to a dynamic conversation about how we interpret risk, probability, and the future in our own lives.

This event is exclusively for graduate students and postdocs 21+ with UCID. Registration is required: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/book-club-the-signal-and-the-noise-tickets-1328912064759?aff=oddtdtcreator
