Surendra Kumar founded the Indo-American Friendship Association, New Delhi in 2010. He is a former Dean of the Foreign Service Institute and Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs. He has served as India’s Ambassador to Libya, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Eritrea and as High Commissioner to Kenya, Swaziland and Malta. He also served as the Consul General of India in Chicago. He has written seven books and edited six books. His recent edited works include India’s Foreign Policy in the Post – COVID World and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: India at 75.
