Join International House and Irving Artists for their special album release concert, featuring works by Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Bach, Cassado, and Dvorak. Chicago-based musicians Hiroko Nagahata (pianist) and Alexa Muhly (cellist), known together as Irving Artists, are set to release their self-produced album Irving on September 29, 2019. The album will be available for purchase on CD and digital download from CDBaby, iTunes, Pandora, Amazon.com, Google Play, and Spotify. Self-released through their own Six Corner Records, Irving Artists functions as a chamber music group with a ‘flexible format’. On Irving, there are moments when Nagahata and Muhly duet, and others when they display their virtuosity as soloists, such as Cassado’s Suites prelude for solo cello, or Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in D Major, Op. 17 No 4 for solo piano.

The concert will be preceded by a complimentary reception at 6:30PM.
