Join the International House Global Voices Performing Arts Series as we welcome award-winning blues guitarist Jimmy Johnson for a live concert. A Chicago native, Johnson is known for defining the Chicago Blues of the 1960s and 70s with a series of live performances and recordings. Some of his best known songs were captured at Bob Koester’s Delmark Records and he has also written several songs recorded by other artists. Johnson has toured the world performing and has played alongside many other influential musicians such as BB King, Albert King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, and Magic Sam. In 2016, Jimmy Johsnon was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, which is based in Memphis. 

This event is free and open to the public. Please arrive at 6:30PM for a complimentary reception before the performance begins at 7:00PM.
