The Annual Kent Lecture in honor of George E. Kent, one of the first Black professors at the University of Chicago, invites the Hyde Park community, faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students to listen in on world-renowned scholars speak about their experiences with inequality and activism. This year, we invite Philonise Floyd, activist and brother of George Floyd, to talk about how restorative liberation and abolition combat the cycle of mass incarceration and police brutality against Black men.
