Global Voices Programs

Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on the growing fragmentation of social cohesion in an era of rising global polarization. Economics, sociology, theology, and philosophy each offer distinct perspectives on these challenges, but how might they come together to help us better understand this moment? Marking the 5th anniversary of Pope Francis’s social encyclical Fratelli Tutti, this event will explore its moral vision and practical implications. How can principles from Catholic social teaching—solidarity, human dignity, and the preferential option for the poor—shape local and national economies to foster a greater common good?
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required at: https://lumenchristi.org/event/polarization-social-cohesion-and-the-economy/

Please enter through the door on S. Dorchester Ave.
