The group, originally formed in 1991 under the name “Harmony 8”, has released 7 studio albums since their founding, competed in the ICCA several times, and has even gone on tour – both around the country and abroad!
In the past few years alone, Ransom Notes have:
- Advanced to the ICCA Finals and won awards for Best Arrangement, Best Vocal Percussion, and Best Soloists
- Toured New York, Chicago, Boston, New Orleans, and Nashville, performing and hosting vocal workshops
- Released their 7th studio album, “Built to Last,” a Halloween single, “Oops!… I Did It Again,” and a holiday single, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” (which was produced completely by current members!)
- Produced award-winning music videos while social distancing during quarantine
- Had their track “Cold” featured on “Voices Only 2021,” a compilation album featuring the best of collegiate a cappella
- Sang at the wedding of two former Ransom Notes!
You can learn more about them on the Ransom Notes website.
This event is open to the public. Tickets are available for $9.
This event is co-sponsored by International House Performing Arts Series and The Ransom Notes.
