Dr. Meltzer received his both his M.D. degree and Ph.D.in Economics at the University of Chicago. He is currently the Chief of the Section of Hospitalist Medicine at the University of Chicago, and affiliated with the Harris School and Department of Economics. Dr. Meltzer is a national leader in research on health care delivery and started the hospitalist program at the University of Chicago.  He will be joined by Scott Stern M.D., Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago who will discuss his experience as a primary care provider and hospitalist. Beverages and appetizers will be served at 5:30 followed by the discussion from 6:00 – 7:00.
