Join the International House Global Voices Program as it welcomes Tsukasa Taiko, one of the largest community groups devoted to Japanese art and culture in Chicago, who will be performing its seasonal concert at the International House May 20th, in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage month. Tsukasa Taiko is one of the three traditional performing arts in the Asian Improv Arts Midwest (AIRMW). AIRMW’s mission is to pass on traditional Japanese arts and cultural legacy, to instill appreciation for artistic excellence, and to expand and evolve the taiko art form through these concepts. Tsukasa Taiko is unique in its emphasis on authentic Japanese cultural experiences and core aesthetics. Refreshments served.

Free and open to the public.
