Sunday, June 21, 2020

9:00AM – 9:00PM

Every June 21st, Make Music Chicago brings together Chicagoans to celebrate their ability to make music, regardless of age, ability or preferred musical style. Unlike a typical music festival, Make Music Chicago is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician—young and old, amateur and professional—takes to the streets, parks, plazas, and porches of Chicago to share music of all genres with friends, neighbors and strangers.

Taking its cue from the Fête de la Musique, a national musical holiday in France, Make Music Chicago has been bringing together musicians of all ages and skill levels, neighborhoods and specialties. From Hyde Park to Humboldt Park, venues all over the city provide performances that are free for musicians and audience members alike.

For more information, visit the Make Music Chicago website.

See a list of Participatory Activities.

All of it is free and open to the public.
