Join International House as we partner with the Center for East European and Russian/Eurasian Studies, Center for International Social Science Research, Partnership for the Advancement of Refugee Rights, Leading Women of Tomorrow, and Enlightening Initiative for this panel discussion with Ukrainian non-profit, policy and education professionals as well as local volunteers. Participants will learn more about the daily routine of an ordinary Ukrainian, the living conditions in Ukrainian towns under attack and how each person has urgently acquired new skills to make their contribution to Ukraine’s victory. The participants will also learn about the ways to help Ukrainian citizens under attack.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.

The NGO “Enlightening Initiative” is a Regional Youth Non-Governmental Organization based in the cities of Kharkiv and Kyiv, Ukraine. Before the start of the full-scale war with Russia, its strategic focus was educational, media literacy and youth employability projects based on IT solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Recent projects include administration and coordination of the semifinalists selection process, promotion and outreach activities for two international exchange programs of the U.S. Department of State, jointly with the U.S. Embassy at Kyiv, as well as Erasmus+ exchange projects funded by the European Commission. Currently it is fighting on the humanitarian front of this war, providing humanitarian and financial aid to Ukrainian families, children and volunteers near the frontline.
