The International House Global Voices Program and the Canadian Consulate in Chicago are collaborating with Asian Pop-Up Cinema, a Chicago-based Asian film festival, to premiere some critically acclaimed films made by Asian Canadian filmmakers with strong references to their Chinese roots. This one-day special engagement will feature two documentaries and one narrative drama, as well as a discussion with filmmaker Ann Marie Fleming, whose documentary “The Magical Life of Long Tack Sam” will be screened. Program details are as follows.
