90th Anniversary

Blue Heron is engaged in the exploration of Renaissance and medieval vocal music, putting the study of original sources in the service of vivid live performance. Blue Heron’s expansive repertoire includes 15th-century English and Franco-Flemish polyphony, Spanish music between 1500 and 1600, and neglected early 16th-century English music. Blue Heron presents a lecture about and performance of polyphonic song from the 14th through 16th centuries, including French chansons and Italian madrigals setting texts by Petrarch, as part of the International House’s Global Voices Performing Arts & Lecture Series. A reception with the artists will follow the event.

This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
