The Inter-Policy School Summit was initiated as a way to revolutionize the landscape of policy conferences around the country. The main objectives of each Summit is to build strong networks between the students of the top Public Policy schools around the country and to ultimately generate a product of tangible use for leading organizations in their efforts to implement projects and policies. In order to accomplish these goals, the Summit provides an opportunity for social networking for participants through the organization of “hackathon” style working session that address several questions of the particular policy topic at each of their events.

This year’s Summit will focus on the relationship between cybersecurity and trade. Specifically, it will focus on the decline in the legitimacy and momentum of multilateral trade regimes, and the speed by which technological change is disrupting existing trade policy and regulations. It will consider how the challenges posed by digital trade and cybersecurity should affect the way we think about trade issues. The opening session will feature keynote speaker Nicholas Percoco, Chief Security Officer of Uptake. Percoco is an entrepeneur, cyber and national security expert, ethical hacker, and TEDx speaker.
