International House is pleased to welcome the Center for Latin American Studies and members of Plena Libre for “Music as Politics: The Role of Plena in Contemporary Puerto Rico”. 

Members of Plena Libre will engage in a discussion, moderated by Professor Dain Borges, on the role plenas have played in Puerto Rico. The panel will focus on the impact plenas on the politics of Puerto Rico, as well as other topics related to Puerto Rican culture.

This event is free and open to the public. Light lunch will be served. RSVP recommended.
