David Shulman is Professor Emeritus of Humanistic Studies in the Department of Comparative Religion at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and current holder of the Indian Ministry of Culture Vivekananda Visiting Professor at the University of Chicago. Shulman is the recipient of the 2016 Israel Prize for religious studies and philosophy.
