TEDxUChicago is excited to launch its first-ever salon! With a smaller audience size, salons aim to stimulate lively discussions between audiences and speakers that will continue beyond the TEDx session.
Professor Wendy Freedman, astronomer, former director of Carnegie Observatories, and TED speaker, will be addressing her topic of expertise of the observational side of cosmology. Her talk: “A Giant Leap Towards Astronomical Discovery,” will focus on the expansion of the universe, dark energy, and dark matter, as well as talk about her current Giant Magellan Telescope Project in Chile.
Free and open to the public.
Sponsored by the Global Voices Lecture Series and TEDxUChicago.
