Join us for our first Nepali event, Deusi-Bhailo, as part of the festival of Tihar. Bhailo and Deusi are traditional songs that are sung during the festivities as people go to various homes in their community, collecting money, sweets, and food and giving blessings for prosperity. Bhailo is generally sung by girls, while Deusi is sung by boys, and both will be followed by a traditional meal! Come along to learn more and to experience the Nepali culture together with other graduate students! Registration is required.
